In the name of God Amen

I Joshua Andrews of the parish of Winterborn Dantsey in the County of Wilts Husbandman being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for it, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this transatory life and knowing it is appoynted for all men ___ to Die and after that the Judgement, Do make and declare this my Last will and Testament

First I commit my soul into the hands of God who gave it me hoping at the general Resurection to Receive it again in Glory through the only merits and mediation of my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, and my body I commit to the Earth to be buried at the Dyrections of my Executors herein after named and as for my worldly goods Chattels Debts and all whatsoever it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I give Divise and Dispose of in the manner and form following

Imprimis, I give to my Dearly beloved Wife Martha Andrews my dwelling House and Garding and all my goods Chattels Depts and whatsoever I have for her own proper use for as long as she Continue in my name, Except all my wearing apparel both Linen and wooling and my Coffer and all my books and other Instuments as I make use of in the way of measurin which I give to my son David Andrews at my Death, not for my Wife to give away any of it wither to ___ my goods nor stock unforseen necessity Containers for food or Rayment and then to take it out of my Stock first and not out of my House nor Household goods Except she spend the stock first and then farther as necessity constrain her as before and after she Ceases to be in my name I give what Remains as followeth

Item I give mys son David Andrews my Dwelling House outhouse and garden with all the ___ ___ and ___ as be fastened to the said buildings and my ____ and my bed and bedspread and all those unto belonging.

Item I give to my Daughter Sarah Hillier Andrews abiding place in my House for so long as she keeps her single and if her brother David and she cannot agree to Live together she shall have that Room as I builded the new chimney in and three ___ of garden for her own proper use for do long as she her self single as before

And also I give her my bed and bedspread and all those unto belonging and also one half of all the Rest of my other Household goods

Item I give the other Half of my Household goods to my other three Children Equal between them that is Hannah Sutton Martha Andrews and David Andrews

All the Rest and Residue of my stock or Shop goods book Debts Chattels and all what so sure shall be then Left after my Wife Ceases to be in my name and all funeral Charges and all other Debts be paid aas she shall Leave unpaid as ther due to pay I give to my four Children Hannah Sutton Martha Andrews Sarah Hillier Andrews and David Andrews all Equal between them

Desiring them not to fall out and ___ one with another in Dividing the goods their father gave them and if any or Either of my children Die before my wife Cease to be in my name, his hers or their parts I give to my Wife to be at her Disposal, but to the Rest of my children as shall be then Living

Item and Lastly I Desire my Dearly beloved wife Martha Andrews that she will take and pay out of my Stock Shop goods or book Debts when she shall see most convenient unto my Daughter Sarah Hillier Andrews and my son David Andrews four pounds apiece each of them there being so much left to them in my Stock by their Aunt Margaret Hillier ____ all other Legacies by her left

And my Dearly beloved wife Martha Andrews I make my full and soul Executir of this my Last Will and Testament defaulting and making void all other wills and bequests by me made declaring this only to be my Last Will and Testament where unto I set my hand and seal this twenty first Day of April 1751

Memorandum my will is that if it should happen that my Daughter Hannah Sutton or my Daughter Sarah Hillier Andrews should die before their legacies become due them or either of them that hers or their parts my son David Andrews shall have, writ with my own hand below signed of my will this 21th day of April 1751

Bond of Admon of the Effects of Joshua Andrews with his will annexed

At Sarum on the Nov 20th 1776by the Rev. John Chafy Clerk a lawful surrogate of the Rev. Worshipful Thomas Morgan DD Prebendary of the Prebend of Chesenbury and Chute antiontly founded in the Cathedral Church of Sarum Admon with the Will annexed of Joshua Andrews was granted to David Andrews his lawful son (Martha Andrews his widow and Executirx dying before she had taken on her the burden of Execution of the Will ) being first sworn to the truth of the said Will to perform the same and to Exhibit an Inv. Acct. when thereto lawfully required
