Welcome to the Nurse Family site. This site is dedicated to the genealogy and history of the Nurse Family of Hanham, Gloucestershire. The family moved to Hanham, which lies to the east of Bristol on the north side of the River Avon, in the late 18^th century.

This site is not restricted to the male Nurse line but covers all ancestors of my great-grandfather, Robert Francis Nurse, and my great-grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Nurse.

In addition to individual articles on my ancestors, I also include some articles of interest to any amateur genealogist. Finally, I am also working on a book on my family history and this site includes a work-in-progress version of the book.
