In the Name of God, Amen

I Anthony Luther of Kelvedon in the county of Essex Esquire being in good and perfect memory and health (Thanks be to God) do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say)

First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God and by many Exponents my gratious and loving father Lord of Jesus Christ my only redeemer and Saviour and of the Holy Ghost my sanctifier and purifier trusting most assured by the __ mercy of God and merits of Jesus Christ and his mediation to be saved

Secondly I commit my body to the Earth to be buried in Kelvedon Church betwixt my two former wives

Thirdly I give tenn pounds to be distributed one month after my decease to the poor of Kelvedon And tenn pounds more to the poor of other parishes that shall be at my burial or to be sent to them afterward at the discretion of my Executors

And as touching the disposal of my the rest of my Estate I give and bequeath as followeth

Item I give to my dear wife the Lady Anne Mountague the use of the chamber over the hall with the Bed and Furniture thererof And also the use of the chamber by in the which my daughter Mulshoe lay in before her marriage with bed and furniture And also the little Closett adjoin to it during her widowhood And also a bed for her man among my servants And also the use of my Kitchen Brewhouse Washchamber with fire for this and for her Chamber

Item I give her also my best Coach and my __ best Coachhouse with the furniture And one of my Coachhouses to put her Coach in and hay and grass for her horses desiring her to accept my Good Will in regard of her large furniture not being able to enlarge it

Item I give to my sonne and daughter Rudge the remainder of my Adventure to the East ___ And Captain Smiths bond of two hundred pounds taken in my sonnes name And also to his two eldest daughters Jane and Mary my Cosen Cornelius his debt the which he owes me for money I paid to his wife for his father in law Mr John Perin who ordered his land to be sold to pay it and his other debt the debt is two hundred and seventy pounds but I would have them accept of two hundred pounds for that he pay it within a year of my decease and without __

Item I give to my sonne Gilbert Luther and his heirs forever the present estate and possession of the farms in Roxwell which my father Luther purchased of Reginold Sonn in both their names and a little farm I bought of the widow Challot both of them in Roxwell and __

Item I give to my said sonne Gilbert to him and his heirs forever another farm in __ __ __ where one Robert Browne now dwells after the decease of my wife the Lady Anne Mountague

Item I give to my said sonne Gilbert and to his heirs forever that farm in Great Dunmow and Burnston called ___ Farm in the tenure of one __ Coutes and late purchased in the name of my sonne Gilbert

Item I give to him my sonne Gilbert the use of my two Chambers in the Gatehouse with the furniture there for himself and his man And also his and his ___ And also rooms in one of the stables to sett two horses in And hay and grass for them both as long as he shall remain a batchelor

All the rest of goods unbequeathed except some _**in a ** ** ** I give to my good sonne Richard Luther whom I make my sole Executor desiring him to see this my last will truly performed And I beseech God to give and bless him And I make my son Mulshoe my Sonne Rudge and my son Gilbert Luther my overseers

I give to my sister Burke during her ___ during her life

I give to my cosen John Wright of __ Notley half the rent of my little farm in Lower Marney for his life

To my niece Mary Goebell of Stanfield twenty pounds

To Elizabeth Mead my dear Cosen Edward Mead daughter tenn pounds

To my old and faithful servant Davy Osburn one of my best Cowes

To each of my servants my __ and sonnes Luther twenty shillings apiece

I desire also to be buried without any Pomp or ___ but with some of my near friends and neighbours only

I give to my sonne Rudge and his wife my son Mulshoe and his wife and to my sonne Gilbert tenn pounds apiece to buy mourning

To each of my grandchildren forty shillings to make them Rings
